East Dulwich

East Dulwich Liberal Democrats campaign on the side of local residents for new primary and secondary schools as well as a new library. They are proud to have improved the Dulwich Leisure Centre and have fought to keep local police services in Dulwich. They also work hard to support the local economy by keeping Lordship Lane and Northcross Road market special, and make sure the council gets the basics right on things like street cleaning.

EDLRosieShimell_Cropped.jpgRosie Shimell grew up locally, so has seen how East Dulwich has developed since Liberal Democrat councillors were first elected there. She is proud to be part of a team with such a strong local record on getting new schools opened, supporting local businesses and fighting for better street cleaning.

Rosie is particularly passionate about education. "The Party's belief that everyone, no matter what their background, should have the best start in life, is what made me become a Liberal Democrat," says Rosie. Amongst Rosie's priorities, she will work to deliver new schools in East Dulwich and make childcare more affordable.

She is also a big supporter of local shops and small businesses. "One of the things I love most about East Dulwich are Lordship Lane's unique shops and restaurants. I will continue to support the independent local businesses which make Dulwich so special."
