The polls are now open for you to elect your local councillors, so please register your vote for the Liberal Democrats by 10pm tonight.

Southwark Liberal Democrat councillors and candidates have spent a lot of time in recent months talking to residents and telling them what they can expect from a Lib Dem council, with a really positive response.

Our manifesto is the only one locally to have been fully costed, with our key policies signed off by the council’s own finance officers. So you know only Lib Dems in Southwark can deliver on:

  1. Stopping Labour’s council homes sell-off
  2. Providing free childcare hours for all 2, 3 and 4 year olds
  3. Creating 1,000 new apprenticeships
  4. Cutting council tax for all residents.

So if you want a council that will get the basics rights on homes, kids, jobs and council tax, vote for your three Liberal Democrat council candidates today*.

Polls are open across the borough from 7am to 10pm.

All votes for council elections will be counted and the results announced on Friday (23 May), with the European votes counted on Sunday evening.

* And another vote for the Lib Dems in Europe!
